Baked Calamari
The perfect baked calamari recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Fresh calamaretti
- 2 Eggs
- 5 tbsp Flour
- Breadcrumbs
- Sunflower oil
- Salt
- Clean the calamari and cut the tubes into rings
- Put them in boiling salted water and take them out again immediately, this will make the rings firm without being cooked through, making it easier to bread them
- Let the rings cool down and then turn them in flour and bread with the eggs and breadcrumbs
- Heat the sunflower oil, plenty of it, in a pan and fry the breaded squid rings in it until crispy brown
- Drain on a kitchen towel, season with salt and serve with salad and tartar sauce
