Salad: Coleslaw

The perfect salad: coleslaw recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 White cabbage, grated
  • 5 Carrots, grated
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Maggi as needed
  • Mayonnaise, salad cream or tartar sauce, optionally not a must
  • 1 shot Milk
  1. Put the cabbage and the carrots in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Now add all the ingredients for the dressing except for the mayonnaise, salad cream or tartar sauce and mix everything well, preferably by hand.
  3. Finally add the mayonnaise, salad cream or tartar sauce and some milk until the dressing has the desired consistency. It also tastes good without mayonnaise, salad cream or tartar sauce. Then also leave out the milk.
  4. Season to taste again with a little salt and, if necessary, a little sugar and cover the salad with cling film and let it stand in the refrigerator and stir in between. It is best to prepare a day in advance.
  5. Tip 5: If you like, you can leave out mayonnaise & co. It is not a must. The salad tastes good without: P
