Hake Strudel
The perfect hake strudel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 roll Puff pastry
- 400 g Creamed spinach
- 400 g Hake fillets
- 250 g Herbal cream cheese
- 2 Egg yolk
- Nutmeg
- 1 Onion
- Vegetable oil
- Salt pepper
- 1 tbsp Milk
- Cut the puff pastry sheets in half crosswise.
- Peel the onion, dice finely and sauté in a little vegetable oil until translucent. Add the spinach, heat everything together and season with nutmeg.
- Smooth the cream cheese with an egg yolk.
- Rinse the fish fillets, pat dry, season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the cream cheese evenly on the four puff pastry sheets, spread the spinach on top and place the hake fillets in half of the puff pastry sheets.
- Roll up each sheet of puff pastry from the fish side into a strudel, fold in the ends and place with the seam side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Beat the second egg yolk with the tablespoon of milk and spread it on the four strudel.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 30 minutes. Let the strudel rest in the switched-off oven for about 5 minutes.
