  • Strudel dough
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 300 g Minced meat
  • 2 Diced onion
  • 3 Chopped garlic
  • 150 g Diced Bacon
  • 500 g White cabbage
  • 100 ml Soup
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Marjoram
  • 1 Egg to brush
  • 3 tbsp Milk for brushing

Instructions
 

Preparation:

  • Wash white cabbage and cut into fine strips or plane. Sweat the onion in the melted butter, add the bacon and garlic and roast too. Add the minced meat and fry it until the minced meat is thoroughly roasted and crumbly. Mix in the white cabbage and roast for a few minutes. Then pour the soup on, season with vinegar and simmer until the liquid has evaporated.
  • Roll out the strudel pastry thinly on a floured strudel towel or tea towel, apply the cabbage mixture to the strudel pastry and distribute it evenly. Roll up the dough with the help of the cloth and press the ends together well and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Whisk egg and milk together and brush the cabbage strudel with it.

Baking process:

  • Preheat the oven to 210 ° C and bake the cabbage strudel for about 30 minutes.

Tip:

  • You can also season the strudel with caraway seeds, paprika powder or nutmeg.
