Quail Eggs in Lettuce Nest

The perfect quail eggs in lettuce nest recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 12 Fresh quail eggs (here: from the neighbor!)
  • 100 g Iceberg lettuce
  • 100 g Cucumber
  • 1 Tomato about 100 g
  • 1 Kiwi approx. 100 g
  • 0,5 Red peppers approx. 100 g
  • 6 Radishes approx. 100 g
  • 6 tbsp Dandelion Blossom Honey (See my recipe: *)
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • Salt shaker
  1. Boil quail eggs for about 6 – 8 minutes, rinse and peel off. Wash the iceberg lettuce leaves, shake dry and cut into strips. Peel and quarter the cucumber and cut into thin slices. Quarter the tomato, remove the stalk and cut into slices. Clean and wash the peppers and cut into strips. Clean and wash the radishes and cut into thin slices. Peel, quarter and slice the kiwi. Mix the salad, arrange on two plates, pour the vinaigrette (made from: 6 tablespoons of lion’s blossom honey + 6 tablespoons of olive oil + 3 tablespoons of water) on top, place the quail eggs on top, carefully season with salt and serve the salad.
