Plum Cake with Marzipan and Almond Sprinkles

The perfect plum cake with marzipan and almond sprinkles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 gr Flour
  • 200 gr Sugar
  • 150 gr Butter
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 pck Baking powder
  • 1 pck Vanilla sugar
  • 1,5 kg Plums
  • For the sprinkles
  • 100 gr Marzipan raw mass
  • 100 gr Almonds, chopped
  • 125 gr Flour
  • 100 gr Butter
  • 100 gr Sugar
  1. Beat eggs, butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Stir in flour, baking powder and milk. Beat vigorously with the mixer.
  2. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper – spread the dough on top. Cover with the plums.
  3. Coarsely grate the marzipan with a grater (works best if the marzipan has been in the freezer for about an hour beforehand). Then process with the flour, sugar, butter and the almonds to crumble.
  4. Bake the cake for about 60 minutes at 200 degrees.
