Gyros with Tsasiki
The perfect gyros with tsasiki recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Tsasiki
- 250 gr Cream curd
- 100 gr Sour cream
- 500 gr Greek yogurt 10% fat
- 1 Cucumber
- 6 gr Garlic cloves
- Salt, pepper white
- 1 Chopped onion
- Gyros
- 800 gr Pork loin
- 6 size Garlic cloves chopped
- 0,5 teaspoon Ground coriander
- 0,5 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 Chilli red, roughly chopped
- 2 Onions in slices
- 5 tablespoon Olive oil
- Paprika powder, salt
- Coarsely grate the cucumber, sprinkle with a little salt. Let it steep for about half an hour. Squeeze out the cucumber water with your hands. Mix all other ingredients together. Add the grated cucumber.
- Cut the saddle of the pork into fine strips. Make a marinade from the oil and the spices. Let it steep for a day (also applies to the tsasiki)
- Sear the meat (approx. 15 min.), Distribute on plates, pour onion rings over them and serve with the tsasiki.
