Bell Pepper Pan with Heart
The perfect bell pepper pan with heart recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 piece Red peppers
- 300 g Chicken hearts
- 1 piece Shallot
- 2 piece Clove of garlic fresh
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Ajvar mild
- 1 tsp Ground pepper
- 100 ml Riesling
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Seasoned Salt
- Chop the shallot (or a small onion) into small pieces.
- Cut the garlic into thin slices.
- Halve the hearts lengthways and wash well.
- Core and roughly dice the peppers.
- Fry shallot and garlic in oil (I had rapeseed oil) and sprinkle with sugar. It shouldn’t turn brown.
- Add the half hearts and fry with them.
- Then add the peppers (still at high heat). Sprinkle with pepper.
- Deglaze with Riesling and bring to the boil briefly.
- Reduce the heat, stir in ajvar.
- Season to taste with herb salt.
- Do not let the peppers boil, there should still be liquid in the pan.
- Goes with rice, potatoes, flatbread …
