Bell Pepper Pan with Heart

The perfect bell pepper pan with heart recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piece Red peppers
  • 300 g Chicken hearts
  • 1 piece Shallot
  • 2 piece Clove of garlic fresh
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ajvar mild
  • 1 tsp Ground pepper
  • 100 ml Riesling
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Seasoned Salt
  1. Chop the shallot (or a small onion) into small pieces.
  1. Cut the garlic into thin slices.
  1. Halve the hearts lengthways and wash well.
  1. Core and roughly dice the peppers.
  1. Fry shallot and garlic in oil (I had rapeseed oil) and sprinkle with sugar. It shouldn’t turn brown.
  1. Add the half hearts and fry with them.
  1. Then add the peppers (still at high heat). Sprinkle with pepper.
  1. Deglaze with Riesling and bring to the boil briefly.
  1. Reduce the heat, stir in ajvar.
  1. Season to taste with herb salt.
  1. Do not let the peppers boil, there should still be liquid in the pan.
