The perfect candied, frozen cranberries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Fresh cranberries
- 500 g Sugar
- 1 l. Water
- Juice v. 1 lemon
- 50 g Powdered sugar
- Wash the fresh cranberries and pour in 1 l. Bring cold water to a boil. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the berries start to burst. Drain the berries in a colander and allow to cool. Now bring the water to the boil with sugar and lemon juice and cook over a low heat for about 1 hour. Reduce until it has a syrupy consistency. Now add the berries and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. (Be careful not to disintegrate the berries.) Remove the pan from the flame and let the berries cool in the syrup. Drain the berries on a fine sieve. Cover a plate with cling film and distribute the berries on it. Put everything in the freezer for about 3-4 hours. Before serving or processing, turn the berries in powdered sugar.
