Quark Balls Filled with Custard
The perfect quark balls filled with custard recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- Dough:
- 230 gr Flour
- 250 gr Lowfat quark
- 100 gr Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 0,5 packet Baking powder
- 3 ÊL Milk
- 4 tbsp Cooking oil
- A pinch of sAlt
- Filling:
- 1 packet Custard powder
- 500 ml Milk
- 6 tbsp Sugar
- 100 gr Sugar to turn the quark balls
- 200 ml Oil for frying
- First you prepare the custard according to the instructions and let it cool down. Place cling film directly over the pudding so that no skin forms later.
- Process all ingredients for the dough into a smooth dough. The dough should already form a firmer mass so that you can later form balls or cams from it.
- Heat 3,200 ml of oil in a coated pan. I recommend that you turn the oil down to medium heat after the oil has gotten hot, otherwise the quark balls will darken too quickly. So you can let them bake for longer and they get an even golden brown tan.
- Form balls with two teaspoons or by hand and add to the hot oil. Bake until golden brown, remove and drain well. When you have processed all the dough, let the balls cool down.
- Now you take the pudding again, stir it well again and fill it into a piping bag with a long tip. So I can plug it into the balls from the side and inject some vanilla pudding into them. Nice and slow and not too much, otherwise the balls will burst open from all sides :))
- When you have filled all the balls, clean the opening where you injected the cream from the excess pudding and turn all sides in sugar.
- Done! Heavenly delicious and very addicting :)))
