Roast Apple Cake

The perfect roast apple cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Flour
  • 125 g Butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder

Covering

  • 500 ml Cream
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 5 Apples Rubinette
  1. Prepare a shortcrust pastry using flour, butter, sugar, egg and baking powder. Put this in a greased springform pan dusted with breadcrumbs and distribute it, put something to the side, turn it into a snake and pull up an edge from it (see picture).
  2. Core, peel and halve or quarter the apples, depending on how they fit better into the springfrom. Spread the apples tightly on the dough. This time I only needed 3 apples, it always depends on the size of the apples. Of course you can also use any other kind of apples, I like Rubinette very much;)
  3. Heat the cream with milk, sugar and vanilla custard powder and bring to the boil briefly. Then pour the whole thing over the apples so that everything is covered evenly. The whole thing now goes into the oven for about 1 hour at 180 ° C. I prefer to eat it lukewarm :)) super delicious
