Warm Chicory Salad
The perfect warm chicory salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 0,5 Apple fresh
- 1 Fresh chicory
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 Teaspoon (level) Brown sugar
- Some cinnamon
- Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Balsamic vinegar
- So’n single – Temporary existence is not that easy 😉 You always buy too much … This time it was chicory. Most of the time I make a salad with fresh fruit out of it. But I also find chicory salad boring all week …
- I changed a recipe from Tim Mälzer to my taste. While he was using pears, I remembered the apples in the cellar, which we had just brought back freshly picked from South Tyrol … I also had fish from Uncle Iglo … 😉
- Wash the apples, quarter them and cut into thin wedges. Clean the chicory, cut in half, remove the stalk. Cut the chicory into strips, wash and drain.
- Melt the butter in a crucible. Swirl the apple wedges in it. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Fry for about 5 minutes. Add the chicory. Briefly heat up with. Season to taste with pepper and balsamic vinegar.
- Fry the fish at the same time. Arrange both together on a plate. Garnish with chives. … and let’s see what has to go next 😉
