Tofu with Apple and Fig Sauce
The perfect tofu with apple and fig sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Tofu firm
- 1 Apple
- 3 Figs
- 1 Clove of garlic
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 150 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 0,5 Lemon
- Agave syrup
- Sesame
- Cinammon
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cut the apples into narrow wedges and chop the figs. Cut the tofu into triangles about 1cm thick.
- Let the figs simmer in a saucepan for about 15 minutes with the water, tomato paste, garlic, vinegar, oil and lemon juice.
- Heat the apple wedges with a little agave syrup and the cinnamon in a pan, add the tofu and fry on both sides. Then add the fig sauce to the pan, season with salt and pepper and simmer for another 3 minutes.
- Arrange the tofu wedges with the sauce and the apple wedges on a plate, garnish with sesame seeds.
