The perfect sauces: onion and apple sauce with fig mustard recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 piece Fresh onion

- 2 teaspoon Fig mustard*
- 100 ml Cream 10% fat
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- Peel the onion and apple, cut the onion into cubes and the apple into small wedges.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions and apple wedges in it. Fry, stirring, until the apples are almost through.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the mustard and cream.
- If you let the cream boil down, you can also serve this sauce as a side dish.
- I served them here with the oatmeal spinach bagger (wholefood: oatmeal patties with leaf spinach) and sprinkled a few red chilli flakes on top to garnish.
