Sauces: Onion and Apple Sauce with Fig Mustard

The perfect sauces: onion and apple sauce with fig mustard recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • 1 piece Apple
  • 2 teaspoon Fig mustard*
  • 100 ml Cream 10% fat
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  1. Peel the onion and apple, cut the onion into cubes and the apple into small wedges.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions and apple wedges in it. Fry, stirring, until the apples are almost through.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the mustard and cream.
  4. If you let the cream boil down, you can also serve this sauce as a side dish.
  5. I served them here with the oatmeal spinach bagger (wholefood: oatmeal patties with leaf spinach) and sprinkled a few red chilli flakes on top to garnish.
