Burgundy Plums

The perfect burgundy plums recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,5 kg Fresh plums
  • 750 gr Sugar
  • 0,25 Lt Red wine vinegar
  • 1 Pc. Cinnamon stick
  • 0,5 Lt Burgundy red wine
  1. makes about 6 glasses
  2. Pierce the plums well with a fork
  3. Let it steep in the mixed vinegar, red wine, cinnamon stick and sugar for about 2 hours.
  4. Take out the plums and reduce the remaining ingredients like a syrup
  5. Add the plums in the last 5 minutes and let them cook
  6. Then fill everything into hot glasses and place them on the lid for about 5 minutes – then let them cool completely and put them in the supply
  7. the longer you let it go, the better you get
  8. Go wonderfully with cinnamon ice cream, cinnamon parfait or vanilla ice cream
