Alpine Pizza

The perfect alpine pizza recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Pizza dough:

  • 175 ml Lukewarm water
  • 20 g Yeast fresh
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 300 g Wholemeal spelled flour
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • Sea-Salt

Covering:

  • 200 g Crème fraîche with herbs
  • 100 g Ham cubes
  • 2 Onions
  • Caraway seeds
  • 200 g Grated cheese
  1. Grease the baking sheet well and preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Pizza dough:

  1. Dissolve the yeast and honey in lukewarm water.
  2. Knead the flour, olive oil, salt and yeast water for about 5 minutes until you have a smooth lump of dough. Then cover it and let it rest / let rise for 45 minutes.

Covering:

  1. Peel the onions and cut into thin rings.
  2. Spread the dough on the greased and brush with creme fraîche.
  3. First onions (if necessary sprinkle with a little caraway seeds), then spread the bacon on the dough.
  4. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven at 200 ° C for about 15 to 20 minutes.
