Quark Cream with Strawberry and Basil Pesto

The perfect quark cream with strawberry and basil pesto recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 pot Basil
  • 250 g Strawberries
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 500 g Lowfat quark
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 3 tbsp Amaretto
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 50 g Dark chocolate shavings
  • 3 tbsp Chopped almonds
  • 0,5 tsp Lemon peel
  1. Set aside some basil leaves and strawberries for garnish. Halve the strawberries, puree with basil and vanilla sugar and put in the fridge.
  2. Stir the skimmed quark with the milk until smooth, add amaretto to taste and sweeten with sugar. Fold in the chocolate shavings, almonds and lemon zest.
  3. Fill the quark cream into glasses. Spread the strawberry and basil pesto on top and garnish with the strawberry and basil leaf.
