Ketchup with Note of Curry

The perfect ketchup with note of curry recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Pc. Sweet apple
  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 1 cm Ginger
  • 1 Msp Cinammon
  • 1 tsp Curry powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Crema di balsamic vinegar
  • 0,5 tsp Smoked paprika powder alternatively noble sweet
  • 1 Msp Chilli (cayenne pepper)
  • 1 Msp Pepper
  • 100 g Tomato paste
  • 250 ml Water
  1. Peel the apple, ginger and onion and dice finely. Put all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the boil and then simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Puree, season to taste and fill into a large screw-top jar. Due to the sweetness of the apple, no additional sugar is usually necessary. But can be added as desired.
  2. If the consistency is still too thin after the specified time, increase the temperature and let it boil down a little. Keeps in the refrigerator for approx. 4 weeks.
