Ketchup with Note of Curry
The perfect ketchup with note of curry recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Pc. Sweet apple
- 1 Pc. Onion
- 1 cm Ginger
- 1 Msp Cinammon
- 1 tsp Curry powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Crema di balsamic vinegar
- 0,5 tsp Smoked paprika powder alternatively noble sweet
- 1 Msp Chilli (cayenne pepper)
- 1 Msp Pepper
- 100 g Tomato paste
- 250 ml Water
- Peel the apple, ginger and onion and dice finely. Put all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the boil and then simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Puree, season to taste and fill into a large screw-top jar. Due to the sweetness of the apple, no additional sugar is usually necessary. But can be added as desired.
- If the consistency is still too thin after the specified time, increase the temperature and let it boil down a little. Keeps in the refrigerator for approx. 4 weeks.
