Apple and Chocolate Cake

The perfect apple and chocolate cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Cream 1
  • 375 g Whipped cream
  • 300 g Milk chocolate
  • Dough:
  • 4 Eggs
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 75 g Flour
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 1 Tl Baking powder
  • Cream 2
  • 6 Medium sized apples
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 340 ml Milk
  • 6 El Milk
  • 4 El Sugar
  • 1 P Custard powder
  • Some flaked almonds
  1. Heat the whipped cream and melt the coarsely chopped chocolate in it. Chill overnight.
  1. Separate eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff while pouring in the sugar. Stir in the egg yolks one at a time. Mix the flour, starch and baking powder and fold in. Pour the mixture into a greased springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven (160 ° C – fan oven) for about 25-30 minutes. Let cool down.
  1. Peel, quarter and core apples and cut into small pieces. Steam with lemon juice, 3 tablespoons of water and 1 tablespoon of sugar for about 5 minutes. Bring 340 ml milk to the boil. Mix the rest of the milk with the 3 tablespoons of sugar and the vanilla pudding powder and stir into the boiling milk. Let simmer for approx. 1 min. Immediately fold in the apple pieces (including juice).
  1. Cut the biscuit once horizontally and close a ring around the bottom. Pour in the pudding mixture and put the 2nd base on top. Chill for at least 1 hour.
  1. Whip the chocolate cream and coat the cake all around. Set aside some of the cream for a few tuffs and decorate the cake with it. Sprinkle with flaked almonds.
