The perfect liptauer & dekomäuschen … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
LIPTAUER SPREAD
- 2 tablespoon Curd
- 1 tablespoon Sunflower margarine
- 1 teaspoon Estragon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Tomato paste concentrated three times
- 1 half a teaspoon Anchovy paste
- 1 teaspoon Sweet paprika
- 1 half tl Ground caraway
- 1 half tl Salt and pepper
- 1 Breath Sugar
- 8 piece Capers
- 1 small Spring onion
- 1 very small Pickled cucumber
DECOMAIRS …
- 1 Hard boiled egg
- Chives fresh
- 3 piece Cloves
- 1 Fresh radishes

Preparation of the LIPTAUER spread
- Cut the green of the spring onion into fine pieces – cut the capers and the pickled cucumber into fine cubes
- Mix the pots (quark) and sunflower margarine (or soft butter) well with all of the ingredients listed above – season to your own taste and enjoy …..
Dekomaus …
- Cut off a hard-boiled egg at the bottom so that it stands well – cut off the “tail” of the radish and stick it in the back of the egg – insert two thin slices of equal size as ears (cut into the egg with a sharp knife beforehand) – cloves or cinnamon blossoms as eyes and noses – chive tips as whiskers …..
