Fried Bananas
The perfect fried bananas recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Vanilla pod
- 2 Bananas, not too ripe
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 3 tbsp Orange juice
- 4 tsp Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Brown rum
- 2 Bullets Ice cream of your choice
- Cut the vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the pulp with a sharp knife. Peel the bananas and cut in half lengthways.
- Heat the butter, maple syrup and vanilla pulp in a pan and caramelize until light brown. Carefully turn the banana halves in the caramel.
- Pour in the orange and lemon juice and possibly rum and bring to the boil briefly.
- Take the bananas out of the pan, place them on plates and serve with a scoop of ice cream of your choice. Pour the bratsud over it and serve immediately.
- Tip 5: I took vanilla chocolate ice cream.
