Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g cream cheese
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g Limburger
  • 90 g onion(s)
  • 90 g pickled gherkins
  • 1 garlic clove(s), approx. 5 g
  • 2 peppers, approx. 20 g
  • 15 g capers
  • 15 g mustard, hot
  • 10 g caraway seeds
  • 10 g sweet paprika powder
  • 10 g salt
  • 3 g pepper
  • Chives, for garnishing

spicy, hearty Liptauer style

First, cut the Limburger into approximately 2 cm cubes and melt them in the microwave with the butter, then mix well with a fork. Finely dice the onion, cucumber, capers, garlic, and chili peppers and mix them into the melted butter-Limburger mixture. Now add the quark and the remaining ingredients and mix well. Let the spread cool, spread it on bread, and garnish with chives.
