Pizza dough with dry yeast: the ingredients
For a pizza dough with dry yeast you need the following ingredients:
- 300 milliliters of cold water
- 500 grams of flour
- 25 milliliters of olive oil
- 15 grams of salt
- 1.5 grams of dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
Making pizza dough: This is how it works
The pizza dough takes a lot of time to rest, about eight hours in total.
- Pour 250 milliliters of water into a bowl. Dissolve the salt in it.
- Take another bowl. Here, mix the dry yeast and sugar with the remaining water.
- Sift the flour into another bowl. Gradually add the salt water and yeast mixture to the flour. Knead everything together.
- Add the olive oil. Continue kneading the dough. You can use a food processor or continue kneading by hand. Knead until the dough is no longer sticky. The consistency should be elastic.
- Cover and let the dough rest for an hour. Then form several balls of the same size. Let them rest under a kitchen towel for seven to six hours.
- You can then process the dough further. For example, try a low-carb pizza or a vegan pizza.
