Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 8 Maultaschen
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml cream
  • Cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • herbs, fresh
  • oil

Finely chop the onion and slice or dice the original Swabian Maultaschen. Heat the oil in a pan and briefly sauté the onions. Then add the Maultaschen and fry until light brown. Add the cream and continue to fry for about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly to ensure the egg whites and yolks are evenly distributed. After 1-2 minutes, when the eggs have set, sprinkle the cheese over the Maultaschen. Stir the mixture briefly until the cheese melts, then season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh herbs. A green salad goes well with this dish.
