- 50 ml vinegar (apple cider vinegar or wine vinegar)

Handkäs mit Musik – light version
Cut the Handkäse into cubes about 1 to 2 cm thick. Then place them in a container with the cider and apple cider vinegar. Add the finely diced onion, pepper to taste, and caraway seeds (whole or ground), if desired. Mix everything well and let it marinate for about 20 minutes to 2 hours. Serve with buttered bread. Note: The cider helps the marinade marinate more quickly. Adding oil is not necessary. This makes this dish a protein source without much energy. Handkäse contains 27% protein and only 0.5% fat. No carbohydrates. The protein composition is very high. An ideal diet dish. Tip: You can save marinade by storing the Handkäse in a bag. The marinade can also be reused.
