Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels, 125g each
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 onions
  • 100 g bacon
  • 1 jar Puszta salad (drained weight 190 g)
  • 1 jar of sliced ​​mushrooms (drained weight 240 g)
  • 250 ml whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Rinse the pork schnitzel under cold running water and pat dry. Heat oil in a pan and briefly fry the schnitzel on both sides. Season the schnitzel with salt and pepper, spread a thin layer of mustard and tomato paste on both sides, and place in a greased, shallow baking dish. Peel the onions, halve them, and slice them. Cut the bacon into strips. Sauté both ingredients in the remaining fat and add them to the baking dish. Drain the Puszta lettuce and mushrooms in a sieve, mix with the cream, and spread over the schnitzel. Place the dish on the rack in the preheated oven. Cook for approximately 45 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat).
