Bratwurst schnitzel

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 4 large pork schnitzels
  • Bratwurst
  • 4 pieces of fresh bratwurst or 400 g of minced sausage
  • 750 g mushrooms
  • 750 g onion(s), diced
  • 1 tbsp oil (olive oil)
  • 500 ml cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Halve the schnitzels, season with salt and pepper. Place the schnitzels in a greased roasting pan from the oven, spread 50g of minced meat or 1/2 squeezed-out bratwurst (without skin) on each 1/2 schnitzel. Slice the mushrooms and fry briefly in hot oil, add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, season with salt and pepper. Pour everything onto the meat and pour over the cream. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 60 minutes. Serve with fried potatoes with herb butter, a fresh salad, and vegetables of your choice.
