Fried potatoes made from raw potatoes with sour milk

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 m.-sized potatoes
  • 1 half onion(s)
  • e.g. dried meat or bacon
  • some fat (e.g. margarine or vegetable oil) for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup sour milk, chilled

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mom had it in the summer

Peel the potatoes and cut into 1 cm cubes. Peel the onion and dice it as well. Heat the fat in a pan, fry the onion and bacon, if using. Then add the raw potato cubes and fry until soft. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon the cooled sour cream onto a plate and eat with the potatoes. It tastes great in the summer, as the sour cream has a nice cooling effect.
