Bean-tomato vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg beans, green, broad
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 3 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 250 ml olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp Pul Biber (Turkish paprika spice, hot)
  • 1 tsp sugar

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

tastes good hot and cold

Clean the beans and halve them. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes and peel them. Remove the stems. Dice the tomatoes, finely dice the onions, press the garlic, and squeeze the lemon. Place about half of the beans in a pot, make a well in the center, and add the onions, garlic, and tomatoes. Layer the remaining beans on top. Mix the oil, lemon juice, salt, pulbiber, and sugar well and pour over the vegetables. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer over medium heat for about half an hour.
