a variation of a Turkish dish

Brown the ground beef without fat, add the onions, cook, stir in the tomato paste, roast briefly, and deglaze with the tomatoes and a cup of water. Add the spinach and let it thaw, stirring occasionally. Once the spinach is thawed, add the rice with 6 cups of water and cook until tender. If there isn’t enough water, add a little more. Season with salt, pepper, and vegetable broth, if desired. Mix the yogurt with the garlic and salt. Ladle the spinach pot into bowls and drizzle with the yogurt. A very tasty meal, far from boring creamed spinach.
