Special prawns

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 ml oil (olive oil)
  • 300 g onion(s)
  • 5 cloves garlic (to taste)
  • 600 g prawns / king prawns …
  • 5 chili peppers (piri-piri, also to taste)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • 5 basil leaves
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Shrimp special

Heat the olive oil in a pan until very hot. Add the onions and fry for 1 minute, then add the crushed garlic (or just chopped if you like) and the lightly salted prawns (frozen prawns work great too!). Stir in and sizzle for a good 10 minutes. After about 5 minutes, add the rosemary and remaining herbs. Serve with fresh ciabatta and a tomato salad, for example. I also like to make this dish in a wok right on the table; it’s very cozy and smells wonderful. Bay leaves and basil aren’t absolutely necessary, but you can add more prawns per person.
