Salsa schnitzel

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g tomatoes
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g peas, frozen
  • 2 pinch(s) salt and pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp mint, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • ½ tsp lime zest, grated
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 4 medium-sized pork neck steaks, 80 g each

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Deseed and dice the tomatoes. Finely dice the onion and garlic and sauté in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the frozen peas and season with salt, cumin, and pepper. Then transfer everything to a bowl. Add the tomatoes, lime zest, mint, and 1 tablespoon of chili sauce. Season to taste with salt, lime juice, and a pinch of pepper. Sear the steaks in the remaining oil on each side. 2-3 minutes per side is usually sufficient. Season with salt and pepper and serve with the salsa.
