Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 30 g butter
- 900 g meat (braised meat)
- 150 ml wine, red, dry
- 1 can/n tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 onions, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic
- some cinnamon
- ½ tsp oregano
- 4 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 150 ml water
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Melt the butter in a large, heavy roasting pan or deep frying pan and brown the meat, cut into 5 cm cubes, on all sides. Deglaze with half the wine, add the tomatoes, tomato paste, and boiling water, and simmer for 10 minutes. Heat the oil in another pan and sauté the onions and garlic, then add to the meat. Season with cinnamon, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is very tender. Meanwhile, pour in the remaining wine. Garnish with the chopped parsley and serve.
