Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • Salt
  • oatmeal
  • Milk or cream
  • Sugar
  • ¾ liter of water
  • possibly butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

English breakfast soup

In 3/4 liter of lightly salted, boiling water, add as many oat flakes as you want the soup to be thick. Mix with milk or cream and sweeten to taste. It also tastes good with brown butter.
