Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 380 ml water
  • 6 tbsp oat flakes
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp butter
  • Milk or cream
  • e.g. sugar, honey, raisins and chopped nuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Bring the water to a boil on high. Once boiling, stir in the oats. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. For whole-grain oats, simmer for 20 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt. When the porridge is tender, serve it in bowls and mix with milk or cream, sugar, honey, raisins, chopped nuts, or other ingredients as desired.
