Italian walnut cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g walnuts
  • 150 g chocolate, coffee flavor
  • 5 eggs
  • 80 g butter
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 cl Amaretto
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g chocolate coating, whole milk
  • 50 g biscuit(s), small amaretti

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Chop the walnuts into small pieces. Break the chocolate and melt it in a hot water bath. Separate the eggs and set the yolks aside. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Cream the butter, sugar, and salt until creamy. Stir in the egg yolks one at a time. Add the melted chocolate, Amaretto, walnuts, and baking powder and mix. Carefully fold in the egg whites with a whisk. Pour the mixture into a 26 cm springform pan lined with baking paper. Bake at 150°C for 60 minutes. Remove from the pan and let it cool, then remove from the pan. Melt the milk chocolate coating in a hot water bath. Pour this over the cake, scatter the Amaretti biscuits on top, and press them down firmly.
