Pickled garlic cloves

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 5 bulbs of garlic
  • ½ liter white wine
  • 100 ml vinegar (vinegar essence)
  • 75 g sugar
  • 2 chili peppers
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • 1 sprig(s) of thyme
  • 8 cloves
  • 1 tsp peppercorns, white
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Split the garlic bulbs and peel each clove. Boil the wine, vinegar, sugar, spices, and salt with the garlic cloves for 3 minutes. Let cool and let stand in a covered pot overnight. The next day, boil for another 5 minutes and let cool again. Place the garlic cloves and the liquid in a lidded jar. Now pour the oil over the garlic cloves.
