Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 3 stalk(s) spring onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Oil (olive oil)
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • 4 slice(s) bread(s) (chiabatta)
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve and deseed the tomatoes. Then dice them. Slice the spring onions into rings. Crush the garlic. Mix everything together with salt, pepper, sugar, and olive oil. Finally, add torn basil leaves to the bruschetta, if desired. Briefly grill the ciabatta slices in the oven to crisp them up. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto the ciabatta and place the whole thing on a plate, drizzle with a little more olive oil.
