Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 1 chili pepper(s), red
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 500 ml homemade tomato sauce
  • 35 g capers, drained, from the jar
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan, finely sliced, or other Italian hard cheese
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Finely dice the bacon. Halve the chili pepper lengthwise, deseed, and finely slice. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and fry the bacon for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Add the chili and fry for 1 minute. Add the tomato sauce and capers and cook for 2 minutes. Season the sauce with salt, if desired. Drain the pasta, toss it in the pan with the tomato sauce, and serve sprinkled with cheese.
