Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 25 leaves of lemon verbena or lemon tree (Aloysia Triphylla)
  • 4 cloves
  • ¼ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 juniper berries
  • 1 liter of spirit, 90%
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 72 days; Total time approx. 72 days 30 minutes

Place lemon tree leaves, cloves, coarsely chopped cinnamon, and juniper berries in a 2.5-liter preserving jar and pour over the spirit. Seal and let steep for 5 days. On the sixth day, prepare a syrup from the sugar and water by thoroughly stirring it cold. Pour this syrup into the jar and let the mixture steep for another 6 days. Then strain the mixture through a cheesecloth and squeeze out the spices. Filter the liqueur a second time through a coffee filter and bottle. Keep the lid tightly closed and let it rest for 2 months. The longer the better.
