Sicilian recipe

Finely chop the soup vegetables. Brown the minced meat in olive oil. Add the soup vegetables and diced onion and fry briefly. Pour in the entire bottle of red wine and add the meat stock cube, oregano, and the remaining spices. Simmer for as long as possible, ideally 5-6 hours (the longer the better). Continue adding water or more red wine. One hour before the end, add 0.5 tubes of tomato paste. Then add more tomato paste to give the sauce a really red, tomatoey flavor. Finally, stir in a few fresh basil leaves and the finely chopped garlic. Serve with spaghetti, grated Parmesan, and a fresh salad.
