Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 carrots, finely diced
  • 1 celery root, one wedge, finely diced
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary, fresh
  • 6 cloves garlic, large
  • 250 ml red wine
  • 3 tbsp spice mix (Vegeta – powder form from vegetable extracts)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sweet bell pepper(s)
  • 500 ml tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp marjoram, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Brown the onion in olive oil until translucent, then fry the minced meat and season with spices. Finely chop the garlic and rosemary needles and fry them, leaving them undisturbed. Then deglaze with wine and tomato paste. Simmer for 15 minutes, then add the finely chopped vegetables. If you like, you can also add 150g of mushrooms, also diced, and simmer for another 20 minutes. Finally, thicken lightly with cornstarch to prevent the juices from becoming too soupy. Serve over spaghetti al dente with plenty of real, freshly grated Parmesan and a large bowl of green salad.
