Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g potatoes, floury
- 500 g beans, thick (jar/can/frozen or dried)
- 250 g smoked bacon
- Savory, fresh or dried
- 500 ml vegetable stock
- Salt
- pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Peel and roughly dice the potatoes. Drain/thaw the beans or soak them overnight. Cut the bacon into large pieces, about 2-3 cm thick, without the rind. Place the beans in a pan with water (including the draining/thawing/soaking water). Add the savory. Bring to a boil. Then add the potatoes and bacon and simmer for about 30 minutes. When the potatoes are tender, season with salt and pepper.
