Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • e.g. chocolate, grated and chopped nuts for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine eggs, 1 cup of sugar, margarine, and honey. Melt in a double boiler until the sugar dissolves. Add baking powder and flour and make a smooth batter. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Divide dough into 6 pieces. Roll out on baking paper and bake 6 round cakes. Important: Do not overbake, or the cake will be too hard. When the cakes begin to brown slightly in the oven, remove them immediately. Trim the edges with a sharp knife while still hot. Cover the cakes with aluminum foil and a cotton cloth to prevent them from drying out. Crumble the cut pieces of cake, not too finely. For the cream, beat 1 cup of sugar with sour cream or sour cream until fluffy until the sugar dissolves. Spread the cream lightly over the cakes and stack them on top of each other. Spread the cream on top as well, sprinkle with crumbs, grated chocolate, and chopped nuts. Let them rest overnight.
