Chocolate mousse

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bars of dark chocolate (2 bars each 100 g)
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 6 egg whites

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 5 hours 25 minutes

Melt the chocolate and water in a double boiler. Meanwhile, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Stir the chocolate into the egg whites with a spoon until a smooth cream forms. Then refrigerate for about 5 hours to allow the mixture to set. I got this recipe from a French cooking class and enjoy making it again and again because it’s so easy.
