Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 pack of frozen wonton wrappers for frying
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic clove(s), diced
  • 1 tsp chili pepper(s), finely diced
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 2 carrots
  • 5 leaves of Chinese cabbage
  • 150 g soy sprouts
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce, hot
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 24 minutes; Total time approx. 54 minutes

When thawing the dough, make sure it doesn’t get too dry (place a damp kitchen towel over it if necessary). Chop the carrot for 4 seconds on speed 5. Chop the spring onion, onion, Chinese cabbage, bean sprouts, chili peppers, garlic and ginger for 4 seconds on speed 4.5, possibly for another 2 seconds until everything is chopped (not a puree!), depending on the quantity. Add the minced meat, soy sauce, rice wine and chili sauces; knead for 1 minute (helping continuously with the spatula). Add the salt, pepper and sugar, push the mixture down with the spatula and knead for another 30 seconds (helping continuously with the spatula). Fill the thawed dough sheets with a heaped teaspoon of the mixture and seal. Lightly grease the Varoma and add the dumplings. Fill the container with 500g of water and steam for 23 minutes on speed 3, Varoma. The dumplings are served with a dip (soy sauce or special dip).
