Burgers with a difference
Sauté the onions and bell pepper in a pan. Add the ground beef and fry until crispy. Season with pepper, salt, paprika, Thai curry, and barbecue seasoning. Then add the water, tomato paste, vinegar, and sugar and mix well. Place a lid diagonally over the pan and simmer gently until the sauce reaches a very thick consistency. Stir in the mustard and the crushed garlic clove. Season again to taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. I added a little more sugar and salt. Cut the hamburger buns in half and toast them cut-side down in a pan. Remove the bun lids after toasting. Flip the other halves over in the pan and add 1 slice of cheese, the ground beef sauce, and 1 slice of cheese. Place the lid on the pan and let the cheese melt. Remove the pan lids, put the bun lids on each bun, serve, and finally eat. I found the recipe on the American Cooking website and adapted it to my taste. Good luck!
