One Pot Cheesy Sausage Pasta Sausage Pasta

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 450 g Cabanossi or Mettenden
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • 125 ml milk or cream
  • 1 small can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 250 g pasta
  • 125 g Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • Spring onion(s) for garnish

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Heat the oil in a pan, slice the sausage, and fry in the oil. Add the onions and crushed garlic and fry briefly. Add 300 ml of the chicken stock, milk or cream, tomatoes, and pasta; stir everything together and simmer on low heat with the lid closed for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally and add more chicken stock if needed. When the pasta is almost cooked, stir in 50 g of cheese and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the remaining 50 g of cheese over the pasta, replace the lid, and let it simmer for a few more minutes. Finely chop the spring onions. Serve the pasta on plates and garnish with the spring onions.
