Shrimp with spinach

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g spinach, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped (possibly frozen)
  • 1 tsp, heaped ginger, freshly grated
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ¾ tsp spice mix (Garam Masala)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 250 g shrimp(s), frozen
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, briefly blanch the fresh spinach, then thaw the frozen spinach. Heat oil in a pan and, in the meantime, finely chop the onion. Sauté the onion and ground cumin in the pan. Then add the garlic and ginger and fry briefly. Then add the remaining spices and roast well. Add the shrimp, yogurt, spinach, and tomatoes. Simmer briefly, season to taste, and then serve! Serve with basmati or brown rice.
